How To Make A Pop-Up Valentines Card

Cupid is on his way this Valentine's Day, and what better way to show your love than with a homemade pop-up card? Sure, you could go the traditional route and buy a card from the store, but where's the fun in that? Get ready to impress your loved one with a one-of-a-kind creation that will surely make their heart skip a beat!

What You'll Need:

Coloured paper or card, scissors, glue and markers.

Feel free to add glitter, stickers, or any other embellishments to make your card truly sparkle.

Step 1: Fold and Cut

Take your coloured paper and fold it in half to create the base of your card. Then, carefully cut two parallel lines on the folded side of the paper. Make sure not to cut all the way through – you want to leave a strip of paper intact to hold your pop-up element.

From another piece of paper cut out a heart shape. It can be the same colour or different! We suggest different to make the pop up pop!

Step 2: Pop it Up!

Push the strip of paper you just created towards the inside of the card. As you open the card, the strip should pop up, creating a 3D effect. Glue or tape the heart to the top side of the strip so when the card opens, the heart pops up!

Step 3: Personalize

Now comes the fun part – decorating! Use your markers, stickers, and glitter to personalize the card. Write a heartfelt message, add some inside jokes, or simply shower it with love. The more personal, the better!

Final Touches

Once you're happy with how your card looks, let it dry for a few minutes. Then, seal it with a kiss and deliver it to your special someone. Get ready for a big smile, your homemade DIY pop-up Valentine's card is going to be a hit!
