How To Make Heart Paper Chains For Valentines!
Share
Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and what better way to spread love and cheer than by making heart paper chains to decorate your home or office? It's a fun and easy craft that anyone can do, and the best part is that you can customize it to your heart's content!
What You'll Need:
To get started, gather the following materials:
Coloured paper or cardstock, Scissors, Glue or tape (staples work well too) Markers, stickers, or other embellishments (optional)
Step 1: Cut Strips of Paper
Take your coloured paper or cardstock and cut them into strips. You can make them as long or as short as you like, depending on how big you want your heart paper chains to be, but try to keep them uniform.
This is the best time to decorate them to avoid bending the hearts out of shape later.
Step 2: Make Hearts
Take one strip of paper and bring the ends together to form a loop. Then, pinch the bottom of the loop to create a heart shape. Secure the ends with glue or tape or a staple.
Step 3: Make MORE Hearts
Once you have made one heart you need to start making the next. This follows the same steps as before, but before you secure the loop, slip it through the first heart so they are joined together.
Repeat this process with the rest of your paper strips.
Alternatively, if you are using staples to secure the hearts, you can simply staple them together in one long line to avoid the twists.
Step 4: Display your chains!
Once they are to your prefered length, you can hang them up like bunting across the wall or tables, or wherever you want to display them and celebrate your love with a beautiful garland!
