How To Make Paper Flower Chains For May Day
Share
May Day is on the way, and what better way to celebrate than by making your very own paper flower chains? It's a fun and easy craft that will bring a touch of whimsy to your May Day festivities. So grab your scissors, paper, and glue, and let's get crafting!
What You'll Need:
Coloured paper in various shades, Scissors, Glue/tape, Markers/crayons for decorating (optional)
Step 1: Cut Out Your Flowers
Start by cutting out flower shapes from your coloured paper. You can make them any size you like, but smaller flowers work best for creating a chain. Get creative with different flower shapes and sizes to add variety to your chain. (Personally I like daisies best)
Step 2: Decorate Your Flowers (Optional)
If you're feeling extra crafty, you can decorate your flowers with markers or crayons. Add fun patterns, designs, or even little faces to give each flower its own unique personality. This step is where you can really let your creativity shine!
Step 3: Attach the Flowers Together
Once you have your flowers cut out and decorated, it's time to start assembling your chain. Take one flower and fold a small tab at the bottom. This tab will be used to attach the flowers together. Glue or tape the tab to the back of another flower to link them together. Repeat this process until you have a chain of flowers as long as you'd like.
Step 4: Hang and Enjoy!
Now that you've got your flower chains in place, give them some extra panache with some spring bunting and use any leftover flowers to make yourself a flower crown!
